I am currently using Optimum and their Triple Play package with the WRT54G router, Firmware Version 4.21.1, and I get intermitent loss of internet and voice. I just had the Optimum tech here today to check out the problem and he stated it is a problem with the router. Sure enough, he had a tester and it showed errors while the router was connected. When the router was removed from the configuration and the PC was directly connected, the testing equipment showed no errors. Has anyone ever heard of the router causing errors in such a manner that it will intermitently shut down the modem for both voice and data?
