Oster A5 Goldens will not clip even with fresh blades - but the clippers sound fine and the blades are moving?
I have Oster A5 Goldens that worked great until I lent them to a friend - they came back with all of the blades I'd sent them with broken, so the clippers must have been dropped several times. I bought two new #10 blades and started clipping my horse. I was able to clip her entire belly on the first set of blades in less than 5 minutes and they stopped cutting and began giving her a 'corduroy' look. I then cleaned out the blades and tried again with no luck. I exchanged that set of blades for another and they worked for a few minutes but were catching and pulling on her coat. Is it possible to have broken or dulled two blades that quickly or is something wrong with the clippers themselves? They still sound fine and the blades are moving, they just don't cut. I'm good about keeping the surface of my clippers clean and blown out but I've never done any deeper maintenance then that. Thanks!
