Other routers taking over my router connection even when password
Beginning last week my router went to another router hookup while I was on the internet. My original router disappearded from connections to choose from. The router was always going down and I'd do repair. Yesterday I reinstalled my router and put password on it to make secure. Last night while on the internet my router went from "MY Router secure" to Network 3 puplic router. Once again my router connetion disappeared. Today I redid my router again making it secure and it went to public router. How do I keep other routers from replacing my ZYXEL secured connection?
A real novice at this,

Open the router set up page. If you have any computer connected to the router with the Ethernet cable then open the router set up page on that computer.
Change the wireless channel to 11.
If you have wireless security set up to WPA2 then change it to WPA or WEP. That will be better option. Change the wireless network name to something different or something new so that your computer will try to connect to the new network with new settings.
Try different wireless channel on the router and see which one gives you better signal strength.
If all the above doesn't work then upgrade the firmware of the router.

Its possible you have no authentication setup on your router. At the very least, please setup your router and all devices in your network to have WEP authentication. If your router and devices can handle it, please setup WAP or WAP2 authentication (instead of WEP). This should make your environment a lot more secure and prevent others from taking over your router.
