Our Bugaboo Cameleon's canopy hood won't extend so thtat it is closed per the design of the pram. To better explain, the design of the pram is that when the hood is lifted upwards, it is lifted to 90 degrees, but ours falls back to approx 60 degrees backwards. We have tried dismantling, and still no result as expected. Please can you offer advice on how to fix?
The Bugaboo canopy uses a clever two stage hub. A spring keeps the sections together in a twin set of wavy indents. As you pull the canopy out the first arch move to the next indentation 60 degrees than the second arch moves it's next indentation. If you have the fabric set to far back over the back and a arch can't reach it's next indentation it will jump back to it's first position. Check the arches can reach the indentations. If the spring breaks inside a hub is not repairable but is available as a part.www.babycare.nl/bugaboo-canopy-clamp-cameleon-2pc-p-2467.html
The solution is to switch the clamps, when they are mounted both at the wrong side, problems as you discribe occur. It only pulls to 90 degrees when the clamps are mounted on the right side.
Indications are showen on the "inside" of each clamp. Make sure that the hooks on each clamp point towards the side were the baby's head rests. Put them on and turn the little arms so that they point upwards, the outer arm must hold the front of the hood. http://www.babytrader.eu/magento/The solution is to switch the clamps, when they are mounted both at the wrong side, problems as you discribe occur.
