Our char-broil patio bistro grill has started to blow the circuit breaker in the house when I plug it in. It will heat up a little and then the circuit blows. Is this a cord problem or an element problem? The grill is still in excellent shape but it's 8 years old
Could be cord or element. If you are using an extension cord, you need to use a #12 gauge cord for this grill, or it needs to be plugged into a 20 amp circuit that is located next to the grill.
If you have the right cord, then the element may be failing.
A cord would blow the breaker right away, so i am suspecting the heating element.inspect it for damage, melting or fusing to housing, replace if neccesary
