Our dishwasher has a problem that keeps on re-occuring: Rubber hose, front right (Standing in-front of machine Model: extreme clean KD 12WW) keeps on dislodging from connection to what looks like the pump. I can not afford to pay the repairman R600-00 every 3 months and despite glueing and clamping, it doesn't last. Help please
Dry all parts completely. Hang a hose-clamp around pipe. Apply KS2 UPVC solvent cement uniformly to coat both surfaces. This is the same glue used to join PVC electrical conduit. Quickly press and twist together. Make sure pipe is fully on all the way. Tighten hose-clamp over solid part where pipe is under. Allow to dry. Minimum 5 minutes, preferably longer. The solvent-based cement 'glue' slightly dissolves the meeting surfaces so 'welds' them together. It may be that the clamp being used is worn or weak if spring-type. Hope this helps u. Clive.
