Our Dyson has very poor suction when using the beater bar. Otherwise it seems to have good suction. The beater bar does rotated as normal. My husband has cleaned the filter and has looked along the line for blockages. Any thoughts?
I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC17. Although I note you've already checked for blockages, it's a good idea to follow the steps shown in our online Support guide to make sure everything is correct with the machine:
Please also check that the filter has been washed as shown in the video below - in normal use, this should be done at least once every 3-6 months. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 24 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it.
