Our front load washer vibrates so much durning the spin cycle it actually knocks the dryer off the top of it. It will also vibrate across the floor unless 2 people are holding it down. We have tried the spin cycle with nothing in the washer and it is just fine, we added 2 dry towels and it is fine but as soon as the same 2 towels were wet the uncontrolable vibration continued. What could be wrong? It is level

Yes unit needs to be leveled. Also if you have a wood framed floor in you home these units will not work they shake everything. If floor is concrete then level and problem should be solved.
Make sure that the nut on the leg is tihgtend down. check level lower on wash machine if all else fails buy shake away pads follow the install directions and see if that helps. i love my shake aways my floor doesnt vibrate any more.
