Our garage refrigerator is getting old and we wan ted to replace it. 2 people have told us if a newer one is in an area where it gets 40 ior below we may have problems. True? How old must it be to avoid this problem? Sincere thanks!

All of the new one will not work well in a garage. Your best bet will be a unit that is more than 7 years old. If you cant find one try a Hotpoint, this is GEs little brother. The hotpoints have an older design. I use one in my garage Model # HTS18GBSWW You should be able to find this at any appliance store around $500.
