Our GE front load dryer sparks at the vent near the wall when plugged in and the dryer will not turn on
The dryer was squeaking at first and we replaced the rear drum bearing and after it was put back together it will not turn on and it sparks at the vent.

May need to check ur thermal shut off with a multimeter? but the spark from vent is strange? are u saying the venting into the wall hole is sparking with the lint goes as it exits the dryer? as for the squeaking could have been bearings or even the rollers, etc but that would not cause a sparking to take effect? unless u mean its sparking from the terminal block where power cord is connected?
Thinking ur heating element or thermostat wiring may have a short in it thats running somewhere near that back remove the cabinet and look for burns, not sure why the repair man didnt do any of that?
