Our new clarity XL40D phone is not working. Yesterday I could make & recieve calls & the booster was working. Today I noticed the DC adapter end was not snapped all the way in & that was causing the backlights to not work. I snapped that in & the number pad was lit up. However suddenly there was NO dial tone. Next I tried the clarity in a different jack without the dc adapter & there was still no dial tone. Next I plugged a different phone into the origianl jack & that phone worked normally. The clarity stopped working when I snapped the dc adapter in place. The numeriec pad lights up but there is NO dial tone. Also the booster, speaker and redail buttons do not work. The booster did work yesterday but I did not test the speaker or redial at that time.
