Our phone system crashed not to long ago and had to get new equipment we had someone come in and reprogram the phones. Everything was fixed except a few extension were switched around. so say the person at extension 13 now shows them having extension 17(which we never used that extension) and extension 15 is no longer when we use to it. We have a lucent partner 18. Do i need to reassigned the phone lines?

Go look at the system cabinet. The processor (the card with all the jacks in the center) are numbered. If it's an R8 card, then they number 10-18 from left to right and top to bottom. (actually 10-14 and 15-18) 13 and 17 are right next to each other :-)
It's fairly easy, you ought to be able to start moving jacks and figure it out.
