Our Proteam ProForce 1500 is 1 year old. The vacuum works (****) in the hardwood floor setting on the switch. The beater works on the other setting but it won't **** and beat at the same time. What is wrong and is it something I can fix?

It may be something to do with the actual switch on this unit.
I have a feeling it may have to do with the wiring on the switch itself, perhaps one of the wires have come off or burned on the contact.
Is it something you could fix? maybe, open up where the switch is on the back there and see what is going on. If it needs a connector that you dont have, solder works too.
