Assuming it is a single phase motor for a residential application there is no way to reverse it and the motor is built to only turn one direction. If it really is turning backwards all or some of the time it is starting there is a problem within the start winding inside the motor that needs to be fixed. Take it to a local electric motor repair shop for an estimate on the repairs along with a quote on a new motor.
