Our shower head is very similar to the Price Pfister Savannah model. Recently we were forced to replace our water heater. As a result several faucets were blocked up with debris. We suspect that is the problem with the shower head but I don't know how to disassemble it to check

The simple method is to take the faucet head off the extension pipe that comes out of the wall. It will take two pair of pliers and a firm grip to take it off. Using a wet/dry shop vac at the supply end and a garden hose at the shower end, force water backwards through the faucet head.
