I assume this is an electric oven... Most likely cause is the element - this can fairly easily be replaced. The next cause could be a defective thermostat - behind the heat control knob. The next is the cut-out, which senses the heat in the oven and stops it overheating completely. Only an experienced technician should replace parts in an oven so if you are not competent, please contact your local repair shop.
