Password my wife put parental lock on for our kids and now don't remember what the code is to unlock it. I stayed on hold for 30 minutes with direct tv i guess they are busy is there anyway to bypass code on this reciever or am i just going to stay on hold forever. Thanks alot

Directv says the only way to UNLOCK PASSWORD is to call them give them your account .box ID and ascess ID.They will unlock box by satillite signal .
If you go into your system setup menu, it should give you a 'reset' option that will reset EVERYTHING and take you back through the guided setup (best advice to get through that is just keep selecting continue, even if it gives you an error message on your satellite signal screen). It will reset your passwords and give you back control of your receiver.
