My iPhone 3G will not respond to play/pause functions (or any other functions) on my iHome IP99. Unit charges and plays sound just fine, but the iPod functions on the iHome do not work on the iPhone.

I've tried re-seating the iPhone, changing the order in which I do things, and I can't find anything that works. Can anyone provide any insight?
