The Pathfinder 6039 can be restarted in several ways. If you have the version that has a small access door below the keyboard with a small hole to the left of that access door, use the included stylus that came with the printer and insert it into that hole. That will perform a soft boot, also known as a warm boot. This type of boot or reset is a non destructive reset and will NOT delete any data.
If you need a more destructive method of resetting the printer to delete all of the data on the printer (does not delete data from any installed memory card), you need to:
Power off the printer Press and hold down the TAB and ON/OFF button when you press and release the switch behind that small hole described above. If done right, a dialog shows up on the display that tells you to press the LEFT arrow to delete the RAM, Registry and Drive. Any other key will abort the process.
