Phantom power on
Had Mic on standby when all of a sudden it poped and started sending static to the mixer (alesis multimix fire wire). ive swapped cords and the only thing that aleavited the static was turning off the Phantom power, which i know is as good as shutting the power off on the mic. ive isolated the mixer to a dedicated power source and checked all levels for peaking. i am still not sure if its the mic,but dynamic mics work fine on the mixer. looking for solution and possible causes. Do i need maintenece on the mic?
