Hello Lila Dempsey, We recently experienced CALL-OUT issues in our dialing area... BECAUSE AT&T started "enforcing" 10 digit dialing. - Try dialing the ENTIRE NUMBER... - ELSE dial 611 and tell the ANSWERER to move their ACOUSTIC tube somewhere in the vicinity of the FRONT of their face (possibly enabling TALK). Inbound calls (to you): The rings "ONCE" sounds like your calls are "FORWARDED"... (to me: USA Custom Calling Feature)... That single RING is called "RING SPLASH" ... to remind us to UNFORWARD the phone ... Suggestion... Call your number YOURSELF and ask the ANSWERER if they have any MESSAGES for you (I'm just saying). In the USA dial Star seven - three ( *73 ) to cancel Call Forwarding. Hope this helps Carnac the Magnificent
