Put the underseat bucket next to the frame for use later.
Unbolt the carbeurettor and reed valve (its just 2 bolts accessed from above. This will disconnect the air, oil, and fuel. if the carb is in good nick just wrap it in a plastic bag so that you can reconnect it later as is. Stuff a clean plastic bag into where the reed valve was to ensure that nothing falls in.
disconnect the spark cap. disconnect all wiring. The air filter is located behind the plastic side trim, behind this is where the shocks connect to the frame, undo the nut and remove the bolt.
There is a long bolt that runs through the frame-engine-frame, just behind the footrest, loosen the nut and tap the bolt out with a hammer and long screwdriver. be careful when finally removing it as the frame will drop.
THe engine is self supporting on the stand and back wheel, so all you need to do is lift the frame up at the back and the engine will stay standing by itself. You can then place the frame on the bucket as it is a heigth and will keep the frame stable.
