Pidgin Trouble Installed Ubuntu a few months ago, all was great and I'm very happy with it, but out of the blue, when I sign in pidgin gives me trouble. How can I fix this? I really don't want to reinstall is there an update or something similar?

Goto into a terminal and type
sudo apt-get remove pidgin
sudo apt-get --purge pidgin
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install pidgin
That should completely remove pidgin and re-install it. G'luck!!
