Pilot Lught I'm having problems keeping the pilot light going on initial start up. The pilot lights fine but it doesn't make any difference where the control knob is, it (the pilot) will not stay lit. I've tried "fudging" a little each way on the setting, still no luck - the pilot simply won't stay lit when I release it after initial warm up of the pilot. Has anyone else had this problem and what was your corrective action??
The theropile is connected to tha safty valve .the switch inside is magnetic and can stick. Light pilot and try tapping on it with handle of a screwdriver. Otherwise the valve can be replaced .
When you light the pilot you hold down the knob for the coupler to get hot at this time don't let go of the knob turn it to on position as quickly as you can. If that doesn't fix it you need to replace the thermal coupler. try that
