Your fryer has a thermopile not a thermocouple. There is a big difference. Thermopiles come in 2 different syles....2 wire leads and coaxial (small copper tube with a fitting on the end). All of the Imperial fryers I have worked on takes the thermopile with the wire leads. Suggest you contact a repair company that can test the thermopile. Is should generate at a minimum 500 mv dc. If it doesn't and the pilot flame looks good and strong then it needs replaced.

Replace the thermocouple pretty easy looks like bare copper wire
