Ping Reply time Problem
Dear Sir,
We are using cisco 2501 router.we have conncted the router to two remote locations.when i am ping from client to remote location server it is showing reply time is 109ms,147ms,87ms,6ms,7ms like that.What is the problem.Kindly give me suggestion to rectify the problem.Which is the correct reply time.

Ok, great....
The 3ms to 10ms is where the reply times should be.
On your original question you stated 147ms - 87ms, but with a drop to 6ms-7ms (which is where it should be)
So it sounds like your connection is just re-establishing at start up.
How long do you have the keep alive set for?
How long had the connection been inactive before you pinged it the first time?
What are you using for authentication? 3DES? or something less?
Was the person that programmed your Cisco's certified? (in other words, did he know what he was doing?)
And are you having any connection problems while it is running?
