Pinnacle12 software -- how do i convert videos to still capture photos
I am a new private investigator who has been asked to shoot video surveillance footage, download to my PC and then still capture photos out of the video frames for inclusion in a printed report. I bought Pinnacle 12 and managed to get the video loaded from the HDD of my camera to the HD of my computer. I was able to play the video clips but am completely stumped (even after the tutorial and several cold beers) to figure out how to do it. I need help fast. I have a report due to a client in the a.m. and need stills from the video.

There is a frame grabber program in the video section of the tool kit. As you playback the video, press the button on the left side of the screen. Still image will be save to a folder.
Then you create a new video using the stills. I haven't used version 12 yet but previous versions don't do a slide show that can be controled by a program. You have to create a new video around the still shots and change the timing accordingly.
Nero has software that can take stills and create a slide show from them that can be controlled through a program if thats something you need.
