While cleaning the fryer, water entered the gas input line. I removed the water from the line, but pilot will not light. Does the valve need to be replaced?
Excellent reason to use Dormont flex lines. If water gets to your combination valve (the thing with the on-off knob,) it should be replaced. Can you hear gas hissing? If there is gas at the orifice, it should light. check to see that all of the air is purged. Can you smell gas?
