The guide states that: "IMPORTANT! Switch Moon in My Room™ to the "ON" position before handing on the wall. (see Fig. 2). PLEASE NOTE: The unit will not activate without the remote control.
Are you using the remote control to activate the device?

The listing on Amazon states that it , " Comes with auto shut-off after 15 minutes of operation, IR remote control with built-in light pointer and glow-in-the-dark star stickers.
