You may try to adjust the LCD light.Do the following:- Press Menu- Go to Set up- Look for LCD- Try to select any of the options under LCD
I ended up stamping on it then throwing it in the bin. Obviously its one of them faults that happens once its out of warranty. Good excuse to upgrade to a DSLR.
