Popping harman kardon subwoofer
I just moved house and rigged up my system exactly as before and the sub woofer is popping at irregular intervals. also its auto power on/off seems to only work intermittently.
it only has a single cable from amp to subwoofer. the sub is powered.

Took it to a harmon shop, around 35$ and 1 week later got it back good as new
Mine did the same thing all of a sudden. The problem is a AC mains detection circuit that seems to affect many previous HK sub models. The solution that worked for me was to replace capacitor C112 on the main pcb of the subwoofer amplifier. You need to remove it from the circuit board with a soldering gun and replace it with a higher rated capacitor. I used a 2u2 40v and the subwoofer is working perfectly again! :)
There are no "C112" capacitor on the TS11. What model do you have?
TS15. EDIT: My earlier fix (that I discovered from some other place a while back) only fixed it temporarily for a few weeks. I don't know what the hell is wrong with it. Nothing looks damaged and I'm no electrical engineer. I ended up completely replacing the subwoofer by buying a different brand.
Chances are the move caused some damage, perhaps a soldering joint came lose. If your any good with a soldering iron, have a look inside and see.
