Possible Webroot compatibility issues
I'm running in safe mode now. Yesterday I downloaded Norton 2009 Antirviral program, a slight upgrade from the one already installed on my PC with no problems. This morning I download an extension of the Webroot program installed on it also.
I was playing a game of the PC's own solitaire when it did not respond. The screen went "grey" and only the little circle with the chasing light in it remained.
After some time of this I restarted the PC and it acted normally but only for a short period of time. It then went back to the above mentioned action. I could not run either Norton or Webroot programs, nor even get online.
I gave up for a few hours, when I came back, started it in safe mode, Norton/Symtec support contacted me saying they noticed that I was having a problem. After having Norton's support check out the possible causes and determining it was not because of any of Norton's programming, they suggested I contact the support of Webroot.
Hopefully you all have some ideas?

Perform a custom sweep. you can do individual folder scans, and if you have files in question placed in this folder, you can scan just those files.
