Power head stops and starts
I have an Electrolux Oxygen model REL6988. The power head stops and starts. I stops when I pull towards me and will start again when pushing. I can't seem to get it to do it by holding the handle and the head and wiggling the tube between the two. What do you think is the problem and how can I repair it?
Thanks Bruce

The problem is with the connection between the flexible hose and the handle - there is a joint between the two that allows the flexible hose to rotate in the handle and the electrical connection here is not great!
If the head stops working you should rotate the flexible hose at this joint (i.e. where it joins the handle) and you will see that the head unit will start to work again.
Not sure what a long-term solution would be - probably to clean this connection, grease it again with white lithium grease, and perhaps to bend the spring connection here so that it makes a reliable connection again.
Sounds like there is definately something stuck inside it. You;ll need to dismantle the floor head carefully using a screwdriver. Make sure your machine is switched off though if it is a power head and not an air turbine turbo head. Once inside check the main roller brush as well as the side caps as these can become clogged. Also check the main dirt channel leading to the pipes of the vacuum.
Dont forget to rate, thanks.
