Power to the mobo
I have a problem with the power ! sometimes I turn it on the fans click on
then the computer beeps and shuts down it only stays on for about 2 sec
and shuts down to the point that it won't turn on at all
would it be easier just to buy a new mobo because I think this one is trashed

Without having the specs on the motherboard or knowing how old it is, it's difficult to say if it is beyond repair. Although my experience with computers shutting down that quickly while attempting to boot have been a problem related to processor overheating. Processors get very hot within seconds of powering on. If the processor cooling fan or the thermal paste is not working as intended the system will shut down quickly. You may want to check those two possibilities before purchasing a new motherboard.
