Press the primer bulb and all it does is blow bubbles in the tank
I have replaced all the gaskets and primer bulb base., fuel filter before I replaced them the primer bulb was hard to push and no fuel flow at all. engine would start and run for a second and then die won't accerlate at all falls flat. Now the engine will start after many pulls but fall dead and will only run on choke. I even took another one apart to make sure everying in the right place. So now Iam between a rock and a stick of dynamite.

Hello, there is an air leak around the float bowl gasket or venturi tube that is why the primer bulb does not pump fuel to start the engine. If your engine is equipped with a metal float, check the float level. If fuel is maintained at a lower level than specified, even a working primer will not deliver fuel up the "extra" distance in the venturi tube.
Some owners clean their carburetors with spray cleaner and fail to replace the viton needle seat. If the needle seat swells up from the carburetor cleaner, the fuel level in the float bowl will be maintained at a lower level and again, the primer action will be affected.
thanks for using fixya,
take care.
Did you change the fuel line? Sounds like it is sucking air.
Diaphram... well, it's story time. Had a old 70s golf cart. Thing wouldn't open up. Give it gas and sputtered out. Ran with some power if you choked it. Changed about every part I could in the carb... no good. Sold it to a neighbor for $100 and he changed the muffler... works like a champ.
Point of my story. If it looks good... it probably is. Have a beer and relax for a bit, stress kills. I hope you get the right answer to your question. Best wishes.
Hello bsxan.
You will need to pull the carburetor apart and clean out the small ports and jets as they are plugged up.
You may need to remove the small "frost plugs" that cover the tiny holes that allow the fuel into the venturi as well.
Make sure the needle valve isn't sticking in the seat too.
I hope your repair goes well for you.
