Report "Price Pfister; a Black & Decker Company My wife and I have been married 50 years this November. Anything my wife wanted, which was most always reasonable, I desire to get for her. When we moved into our present home in 1979 we had the kitchen remodeled in this 100 plus year old home. Last year my wife asked for a new sink which would be deeper than our present sink AND a "goose neck" pull-down faucet. Though our other faucet worked just fine I agreed to the new faucet because, as I mentioned, my wife doesn't ask for too much. Now we go on the search for our new "state of the art" kitchen faucet. We visit various store looking at many faucets. We looked and looked and on January 28, 2010 my wife settles on your Price Pfister 529 Series and it cost $193.77. WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS! First whoever designed the pull-out spray head should be terminated. What a poor design with those plastic parts that are supposed to fit inside the "goose neck". Now for the lack of a reasonable amount of water coming out of this faucet. This faucet must be a male model with serious prostate problems. The water stream on our old faucet was great and the water stream in our other faucets is fine but the water stream on this piece of trash it real sick. And the water stream is equally poor on both cold and hot water. I've done all the things suggested to check on what is the possible reason for the lack of a good water stream but no luck. I even went of the internet with this problem and after explaining all I had checked on, a man from Home Depot said the only thing left that it could be would be the o-ring by the Cartridge. He said it doesn't happen often but some times the o-ring slips out of place. He e-mailed that I could get a free replacement by calling Price Pfister or stopping by a Home Depot store. When I took the e-mail to Lowe's (where I purchased this faucet) the employee said "well if Home Depot will give you a new one,so will we". The Lowe's employee took the Cartridge from a new 529 Series faucet and gave it to me. In the process of watching him I noted that "poor design with those plastic parts" on the pull-out spray head have been changed. If it's an improvement I would have no way of knowing. But it does look much better. When I was putting the new Cartridge I noted that the o-ring was not out of place. With the new Cartridge installed the water stream was just as weak as before. So I took the new Cartridge out and returned it to Lowe's. Now I have held back on expressing my anger on this matter. I am asking for satisfaction on this matter.
