Printer Throws Alarm, HSD, Prop error and Head Problems
When I try to print, the head moves side to side, about 1/4 an inch, then throws Alarm, HSD and PROP error. Not sure if I need to replace the space motor, or something else.

Most likely, you need to lubricate the shaft the head moves on and clean the positioning tape (carefully, the marks on it can be dissolved).
Unplug the printer while it's moving the head, so you can manually move the head around. Use light oil, such as used in sewing machines.
