Pro-164 scanner stops receiving when Motorola talk-ids are progra
It scans and works just fine with the Motorola frequencies and displays all the talk-ids when a channel goes live. But when I program the talk-ids that I specifically want, the scanner stops receiving all signals and just scans repeatedly.

I had to buy the Radio Shack USB cable 20-047 and install
the driver for it and then I downloaded a program named
"Win97" from the www.starrsoft.com website as listed
on page 21 of the Pro-164 manual. The cable costs
$34.99 and with tax you are looking at about $37.88.
The "Win97" software must be registered for it to work
after a 30-day free trial period. That's approx $25.00.
This is the ONLY WAY to go !! You put in everything
on the software GUI and then upload it to the PRO-164.
Works like a champ !!!!!!
