Problem going from jack to switch
I'm using the white orange/orange method going to a switch in the basement to the wall jack upstairs. With the tester I'm not getting any blinking lights. To be safe I took of the leviton end off and crimped a regular connector just to ensure the cable and ends work without any issue. I'm not trimming off the wire ends all the way so their is a small nub but I don't think that would cause an issue? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can i know what's the length of youre cable ?
I don't know what you mean about the white orange method, but a 5G108 has two wiring schemes clearly marked on the shell. You should be able to see which was used by looking at the modular plug in the cable either the orange pair is in position 1&2 or the green pair is. If orange, follow the 568B. If green, then it's A.
