Hi...i just got my nvidia geforce 8600 gt replaced a week back. I have properly installed the latest drivers and removed and reinserted the GPU into its specified slot. My problem therein is whenever i play a game the 3D models and environments have black spots on them, there are several irregularities and many a times the environment changes, its pretty hard descring what exactly is wrong just that the models and the environment dont look like they used to.

I will explain the various problem in detail. Games like Call of Duty 4 and Dead Space hang up after several minutes of playing, apart from having the black spots on the character and the 'screen freezes'
and pixel irregularities. For example the smoke effects in CoD 4 (Call of Duty 4) look like they were made up of thousands of multicoloured squares, the weapons look like the ones in Counter Strike (the first one) which i played 5 years ago. The same multicoloured square appear whenever there is supposed to be a 3D effect like the graphics card cant fill up the 3d effect and has put the squares instead.

All in all i belive it could be another hardware problem but since i just got it replaced i am having a hard time beliving that. Also it take about a week or so to ship in the replacement since i live in India, but the comp is kept in a cool place.

I have Windows Vista 64 bit and when i am not playing a game everthing works 100%, i mean there are no irregularities , the screen never hangs up or goes black altogether. You input and help in this matter will be much appreciated.
