Problem with memory (xd) card and camera
Hi, I have a 512 MB memory card and haven't got the cable that goes from the camera to the PC any more so I have loaded it direct into my laptop which has an xd port.
When I open the card files, my pictures come up 3 times and there are lots missing!
I have tried to save the photos that I could but now when I put the card back into the camera it says that there are no pictures.
This is despite the fact that when I put it back into the PC, it does show pictures.
I keep getting the error message that I can't write on the disk and that I should remove this protection on device/hardisk1/br6.
I don't know what this means!
Please help

Look for a manual lock next to your XD memory card slot on your computer. Your computer may not have one but there are a few that do.
If there isn't one, go to My Computer, look for your memory card in the window. Move the mouse over to the memory card and select properties. Make sure that the read only box isn't filled in. If it is, click on it until it is empty.
Copy the contents of the memory card to your computer. Reinsert the memory card into your camera and reformat the memory card in your camera for the utilities option on your camera. If it doesn't reformat, there could be something wrong with the memory card.
You could have a corrupted memory card or you might want to go to Olumpus' website and see if there is a firmware upgrade for your camera.
