Problem with the receiver on my wireless keyboard & mouse KB985W
For the past several weeks, after I turn my computer off, the receiver starts flashing on its own. When I turn on the computer, it still keeps flashing for about 5 min. When I try to use the keyboard (for example, searching and putting in a letter), it brings up the start menu or it might bring up a file folder. After messing around with it for several minutes, the flashing on its own stops, and it goes back to normal (only flashing when I'm typing or moving the mouse). I've tried changing the batteries in the mouse and keyboard, yet that has not solved the problem.

If you still have the software that came with your keyboard and mouse then i suggest you reload it, it appears that some of your keys have functions to them and they are misbehaving.
If you do not have the software then remove the reciever from the computer and then replace it again. press the connect button on the reciever then the connect button on the keyboard, wait for it to register the keyboard then press the connect button on the reciever then the connect button on the mouse and wait for it to register.
