Problems With fuel System
I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer. They day i test drove it i brought it up hills romped on the gas i went like it was brand new. The day i bought it it died on me 20 miles after driving it. Very Frustrating! Any ways it died on the highway just bogged out and stalled. I had it towed. I came home and jumped it and ran for about 2 minutes and died again. It lacked power would not responded to me giving it more gas. Once it was back at my house it would not start. I bought a new battery and altinator. Still would not start and i had to put fuel starter in the intake to get it to start up. But it doesnt last long. When I turn the key on i can hear the fuel pump go and the fuel filter looks new. I put knew spark plugs and wires on today. And the air filter was flithy.
Please help. I was told to look at the fuel injectors, spider gear and fuel pressure regulator. However i do not know how to check these or where to locate them. If you can help at all that would be great.
Thanks Bill

If you don't know these parts it will be really difficult to help you.You said the fuel system looks good so look at your spark output.pull off a spark plug wire, slide a Phillips screwdriver into were you would normally connect the spark plug. holding the screwdriver by the handle ONLY, place the screwdriver an inch away from the engine(metal part)have a friend turn over the engine.Be careful, don't be anywhere near the fan or anything that spins while the engine is turned over. Now check for spark between the screwdriver and the body of the engine.do you have spark?is the spark real weak?might be the ignition coil.Check your pressure output at the fuel rail too.
Go to the autozone website at autozone.com and register your vehicle. It's free and you will have access to an online repair manual for your vehicle. It should have the info that you are looking for. Hope this helped and best wishes. (I would suspect the pressure regulator)
