When programming volume control using "learn" function, ILive remote, and DirectTV remote (or TV factory remote)....sound bar will only learn volume UP or volume DOWN but not both. i.e. when you use volume up or down on DirectTV remote...sound bar will only perform ONE function...UP or DOWN...depending on which function ( UP or DOWN ) was programmed first.
