Projector shows briefly and cutsl off
Just moved into my new house and it had a screenplay 4805 in the media room.It comes on and shows well for about two to three mins.I can hear the fan in it zipping up and down and it cuts off.Can this be fixed or do i need a new projector.Cant find anything close to a replacement fan.Please help.....

Are you sure it's the fan? if the lamp cuts out and the fans still run, the problem is the colorwheel. if you are sure the fan is not moving, it will need replacing, but there is no fan sensor that would shut the projector down if the fan does not spin. there is, however, a temperature sensor that'll shut it down if it gets too hot. wheather it's the fan or the colorwheel, clean the dust out of the projector with canned air to help prevent overheating. then get the parts from an infocus service center and replace them yourself, or send it in for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com
