There are a few things that could cause this issue - I first recommend putting a bright lamp next to the unit with the light shining directly onto the top for overnight. In the morning, turn off the lamp, wait 15 minutes, and try the unit. Moisture in the unit may cause it to go into protect mode and the lamp should evaporate the moisture. As this is the most common reason in humid areas ( coastal regions or areas with lots of rainfall or fog) I would try this first. The problem could also be more severe, like a mis - alignment of the power plug, shorted printed circuit board, burnt resistor / capacitor,etc. and having it inspected by a repair facility may be the best solution of the lamp doesn't do it. I would also check to make sure it is plugged in properly ( fat blade in the fat part of the wall plug or reversed plug into the unit if the power wire is removable from the unit). Modern electronic components are not usually user serviceable, with the exception of a fuse mounted into the back of the unit, and specialty equipment is needed to diagnose and or repair. If you live in an area I described above and have not used this unit for some time - or just purchased it - the try the light trick to get rid of the moisture.
