Protection mode. HOw do I reset this error message? I am an electronics tech and I can performm any level of repair if you can lead me to the possible problem. THe does not to be any burnt parts inside the Chassis. How can I obtain a service manual? Anselmo
Hi, protection mode means either the speaker terminals are shorted or the unit is overheated the manul says fix the short (DOH!) or unblock the vents (DOH!) but if it is really an issue with the microprocessor, then unplug the unit, hold in power and the tape loop buttons at same time and plug back in, wait 15 seconds or so until the display flases about once a second and then release both buttons. I will doublecheck these are the correct buttons, but I am pretty sure (I have the manual)
