Pump body and bracket position bolt mount repair
Hi, I was installing new 4032-10 pump. I wanted to put the pump on a wooden base, so I removed the two bottom bolts so I could mark position on the wood with just the base. All was good or so I thought, after assembly, then priming, water came out the bottom of the pump, so I tightened the bolts a little more not too tightly. All was fine apart from the water pressure would drop sometimes. Tank side pressure read 50psi / pump would go up to 45psi. but would drop to below 15psi. I think I need too check these gauges. Returning home, the pump was running, water gushing out, the pump body had come away literally pulling the mounts on the plastic pump body about half an inch out. My questions are; Does the base go between the pump body and motor or does it sit on the bolt head side? Also I have only been using it for a week and the pressure seemed good but would drop and it would not engage unless I flicked manually would this be due to the foot valve or is it the pressure tank lacking air? I think I will have to order a new pump body unless I could get a strong glue to put back the bolt mounts in place ? Any ideas on this? save $$$. But I'd like to check it's not something other than me putting either the base in the wrong place (at head of bolt side is where I put it.) which I'm sure was right as with other pumps? Or I have just done them too tightly and they just gave way as they are in bedded plastic? I would be grateful for advice as I live on a remote island no plumper shops here! cheers.

Lol too much power for the pressure tank back off the flow or get a new pressure valve 50 psi is good pressure how big is the tank what is the gauge rated for all these \details need to be spoken in order to answer sounds like you want some water lol its sucking air too tank doesn't need air it has to be primed first tighten the bolt and now you have to use pipe sealant white putty to seal those nuts and bolts back up pump cant suck air
