Pump starts working once connected to a power source
My sprinkler water pump starts working when connected to an electrical outlet. Previously, I had to press "start" from the program panel for it to start. It then continues to work until I unplug it from the power source. Pressing "stop/clear" on the panel will not stop the pump. What could be wrong with the pump?

Doesn't sound like there is anything wrong with the pump - it sounds like there is something wrong with your timer (or start panel). If the pump is kicking on, there is nothing wrong with it.
