Purring sound on Bernina 530
When I power on my Bernina 530, it makes a short purring sound. Also when the sewing starts it makes a much alike sound. Is that sound normal ? Does that sound have a specific function ? Regards.

If it is the new Bernina 530 computerized model, they do make a particular sound when started up. My 440 makes a peculiar sound at startup, but I've become used to it. I believe part of it is setting the machine to the default settings, ie positioning the needle, etc.
